POSITION: Saturday Pianist Job Description
REPORT TO: Pastor (and/or Worship Committee)
Qualifications: The Saturday Pianist shall:
Be a trained musician who is a proficient pianist, both as soloist and in leading
congregational singing
Saturday Pianist Responsibilities:
The Saturday Pianist shall:
• Provide appropriate music for all regularly scheduled Saturday worship services
service
• Take direction and carry out instructions from Pastor and/or Worship Committee
• Notify appropriate Worship Committee member, as far in advance as possible,
when absences will occur
• Notify Treasurer of services rendered at the end of each month
Bethesda Lutheran Church Responsibilities:
In exchange for regular commitment, Bethesda Lutheran Church shall:
• Compensate Saturday Pianist a set per-service fee, payable monthly
• If a Saturday service is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen situation, the
Saturday Pianist will be compensated as per usual and customary fee for the service
• Provide Saturday Pianist three paid personal days per calendar year, prorated to
start date

• Notify appropriate Worship Committee member, as far in advance as possible,
when absences will occur
• Notify Treasurer of services rendered at the end of each month

- Absences in excess of three per year will be uncompensated
