YOUTH DIRECTOR
•        Three month review/Six months probation
•        Supervised by Senior Pastor/Accountable to Church Council
Job Description
•        Role model - motivating youth and increasing their involvement in church’s activities
•        Develop, plan and execute activities for youth of all ages (such as but not limited to
      Kings Kids, Kings Kids Jr. and  retreats)
•        Recruit others to assist with youth programs as needed
•        Communicate regularly with youth, parents, pastor, congregation and staff
•        Assist Pastor with Confirmation as needed
•        Prepare and give children’s sermons at worship services
•        Serve on Community Life and Parish Ed Committees (not to serve as council
      representative or secretary)
•        Attendance of council meetings encouraged
•        Work within established annual budget for youth expenditures
•        Continued education as provided for in benefit package
•        Duties described above are not all inclusive

Required Skills
•        Strong calling to Christian youth work
•        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•        Strong organizational skills and ability to recruit and delegate
•        Understanding of today’s youth and culture and ability to work with youth of all ages
•        Flexible, patient and energetic
•        Responsible

Education/Experience
•        Four year degree /or equivalent experience preferred
•        Lutheran background preferred
•        Musical background preferred
