The church season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22 with worship and imposition of ashes at 7 p.m. The Lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday and continues through Holy Week, culminating on Easter morning. During Lent, Christians of many denominations prepare their hearts to humbly hear and receive Christ's ultimate sacrifice of death on the cross and glorious resurrection. Mid-week services of the Holden Evening prayer will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evenings. Starting February 22, Lenten soup suppers will again be held on Wednesday evenings with serving beginning at 5:30 p.m. Come and invite a friend to share in food, fellowship, music, and hearing the message of God's grace. |
